Our origin in the power sports business began when we started renting two personal watercraft to a fraternity at Oregon State University. Our business grew from just one fraternity to include all the fraternities of both Oregon State and U of O, and then onto the general public. Our fleet went from two, to six, to eleven, to seventeen, to over thirty! By 1998, we were the largest rental operation in the state of Oregon with three locations around the Portland area. SK Watercraft Rentals, as the business is known, is still in existence today. In 1999, SK Northwest was created as a grass-roots company carrying at first just Sea-doo personal watercraft; we then added Ski-doo snowmobiles, Bombardier ATV’s and Sea-doo sport boats. By 2001, SK Northwest was the largest Sea-doo dealer in Oregon. In 2003, we were one of the top three dealers in the Northwest. Today, we sell more products for Bombardier than any other single dealer in Oregon and Washington. In the early fall of 2005, we decided to include the Segway Human Transporter in our line-up. We are very excited about being given the opportunity to offer this incredible machine to our customers! Segway L.L.C. was impressed by our dealership’s success and customer service. We now carry a full line of Segway HT units, accessories and authorized service. We are gliding into the future with our newest division of SK Northwest: Segway of Portland at SK Northwest. We are also looking forward to adding Segway HT tours/rentals in the summer of 2005. As we continue to grow, we continue to set our standards of customer satisfaction even higher in order to offer the most to our customers.
